Dive Guide / Divemaster
Guide others as an experienced diver, with an eye for safety and logistics - the first step as a Dive Pro
Dive Guide & Divemaster
The highest non-instructor level within SSI. Independently escort certified divers.
The SSI Divemaster path starts with the Dive Guide course — the first step in your professional diving career. As a Dive Guide you may escort certified divers at familiar dive sites in a non-commercial setting. You deepen your knowledge of diving theory, safety and the underwater environment, and learn how to lead by example.
Divemaster is the highest professional level we offer at Dive School de Grevelingen. The Divemaster certification is awarded automatically once you have completed both your Dive Guide certification and the Science of Diving specialty, and meet SSI's requirements for active status. As a Divemaster you may independently escort certified divers and assist instructors during SSI courses.
Whether this is a serious hobby, a side job, or the first step towards becoming an instructor — at Dive School de Grevelingen we offer a personal training path that fits your schedule and ambitions. Get in touch to talk it through.
