Frequently asked questions

When are you open?

Our regular diving season runs from mid-April (May holidays) to mid-October. We often end the season at the start of the autumn holidays.

We normally work on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Sundays. In addition, we also work on (Dutch) holidays within the diving season. Sometimes we can also schedule something on Mondays and Wednesdays.

What are your working hours?

On our weekdays, we usually start by welcoming the first guests at 9.00 am. On weekends, a second shift often starts at 11.30am.

For courses, such as the Open Water Diver course, we also often meet directly at the dive site. Then we can also start earlier in the morning, for example at 8.00 or 8.30.

Rentals are always by appointment and we usually schedule pick-ups early, prior to the planned diving activities.

Our dive programme often lasts until 4pm at the latest. After that, we are still busy rinsing and cleaning up. Sometimes we also work in the evening, for example if we plan theory lessons in the evening or have a night dive on the programme.

You can always return rented equipment during the dive shop's opening hours. Go to the website (de-grevelingen.nl) for current times.

Can I take a course or do guided diving outside the diving season?

In principle, this is possible. We have a season because the water temperature gets too low for diving in a standard 7 mm wetsuit at some point. Should the temperature allow it or if you have suitable cold-water diving equipment yourself, we will certainly be happy to help.

Courses that do not require diving can of course be scheduled throughout the year. Think of the Nitrox Specialty, Science of Diving, Ecology Specialties or the SSI React Right course.

Finally, if you go on holiday outside our diving season and want to already complete a part of the Open Water Diver course before you leave, we can go through the theory the pool with you here. You will then become an SSI Referral Diver and can complete the course (four more outdoor dives) at any other SSI dive school.
